Our son submitted his SAT scores
Has anyone been accepted to the Distinguished Scholars program with a 1400 range SAT? I originally submitted a 1440 SAT score with my application, but am now rethinking if I should email the admissions office to go test optional.
In 2019, those invited appeared to be the top 2 in their classes, 35/36 acts. Merit was based on gpa’s and scores. Only 100 applicants, my 3.95 34 5th in class received top merit outside of this group, her friend 35 2nd in class made it. I wouldn’t go TO because 1400 is a decent score and could help with merit, my son applied in 2021 with a 3.7 and 1390 and was offered merit.
Can you let me know what your daughter wore for dress code. My daughter will be going this year and it says business attire Friday night but what do the girls wear during the day Friday. Any input would be great

We will be flying in from a spring break trip, so we have to be packed this weekend. We are going to bring a business outfit and smart-casual options.

I don’t know. They didn’t tell the kids. They all seemed like high achievers who do a lot of things at a deep level.
Does anyone know when they’re releasing decisions for this year?

Apparently the guy who ran the weekend was at a college day at some high school and said it would be “this week.” Over the weekend there was a prompt in the portal saying “your financial aid package is available” but that has since disappeared. I hope it is soon…
There is nothing in the portals about DiScho. It was all done over email. Do you think decisions will come through email as well?
I’d be willing to bet they will send an email, but I think the financial aid info in the portal will need to have the updated info. My guess is the portal will be updated and then they will email.
last year’s (at least according to posts here) came out via email and came out on a Monday
