It will definitely work out:). I know the wait is stressful (this is my second), but most of the kids we knew last year for UDel got in closer to Christmas. It really seems like there is no order in which they roll out:) She will have good news soon!

My daughter is in. Undecided. OOS. Did anyone apply for the honors college and know when we should expect to hear about that?

Does anyone know when merit is given? At time of acceptance or later?

Based on history in College Confidential, I think UDel merit usually follows 2-4 weeks after notice of admission.

Based on history in College Confidential, I believe UDel honors notification is usually in February. Can anyone confirm this?

According to last year’s thread, honors college decisions started coming out on Dec 13th and merit on Dec 20th. We are eagerly awaiting notification as well. Good luck to everyone!

Anyone whose kids were accepted already and are awaiting news on honors @JWalt21 @nycasdmom, does your portal still have evidence of honors college application?

My daughter was just accepted, but we don’t see anything in her portal regarding her honors college application.

My child was accepted on Friday, but I no longer see any mention of honors. Previously, it said he applied to honors, but it may not be showing for him since honors is above his stats. IDK? I only see mention of the World Scholars option, but I think everyone gets this if they want. It’s more of a study abroad program, I believe.

Per UDel Website, Honors Admitted Student Profile: 4.29-4.55 GPA, 1360-1480 SAT or 31-34 ACT

That’s what I was wondering. My daughter was also accepted on Friday but there’s no longer any mention of Honors in her portal. I wasn’t sure if that happened to everyone or if it means she was no longer being considered for honors. Her stats are solid (depending on how they recalculate the GPA - our school doesn’t provide a weighted one - but she has a 1470 SAT), I am just not sure what to make of the way her portal looks now without any mention of her interest in honors.

The World Scholars thing just popped up today.

I definitely think your daughter would make honors with her stats!!

Ok, so it looks like we’re not the only ones. We will try to be patient. :slightly_smiling_face:

Where are the out of state folks from?
