Anyone know when merit is announced? Or what percent of honors admits get merit?
Was hoping merit would come with Honors college acceptance, but maybe they are behind on all aid calculations because of the lateness of the FAFSA? I have to imagine that honors acceptance would equal merit, but maybe thatās just wishful thinking? Hopefully they announce it soon.
I think honors will come with merit.

Initial acceptance was just before Christmas. extremely rigorous curriculum at a competitive high school. 3.8uw/4.4w, 1500+ SAT, all AP/DE/Honors courses in high school.
According to their Financial aid website
Students admitted to UD who have completed the FAFSA will receive financial-aid eligibility information starting in late January/early February. Once finalized, merit scholarship letters and offer notices are mailed to students and are available on their My Blue Hen Home student portal as well
Looks like Merit aid is tied to FAFSA filing which obviously delays the merit offers as FAFSA information will not be released to schools until end of January at the earliest.

Although I donāt think FAFSA was required for merit consideration, correct (only need based aid)? Their site states all students considered with application for admission without any separate application
Iāve never heard of a school requiring FAFSA filing for merit. Seems odd.
I donāt think UD requires fafsa for merit, I think it was just worded weird.

The invitation to apply for the scholars programs in the mail is generic, right? Our student is high stats but no word on honors.
Ds was accepted to honors.
Dd is there now. She got 15,000 a year ā¦ No honors or anything (she didnāt apply) but her grades were excellent.
Agree that it is odd to tie merit aid with FAFSA, as we already received plenty of merit based awards from other schools even before we filed FAFSA.
May be UD is trying something different this cycle 
Yep, looks like all accepted students got the scholars mail. Not related to honors
No word yet on Honors or merit.
Accepted to Lerner Business in December.
Test optional
From the posts above, many of the first students invited to Honors submitted high test scores.
Maybe TO Honors invites are in the works, hopefully?
My D got her Honors notification a few days ago, no word on merit. She did submit her 31 ACT score. My Class of 21 D got her $17k/yr merit in late November. I never filed a FAFSA so merit is not tied to that, no explanation for why it is so late this year that I know of.

I posted up thread, but my D24 submitted a 33 ACT and was invited to the honors college last week.
Does anyone know when Distinguished Scholars invites are typically sent out?
DD applied TO and received her Honors invite.

We received our decision back on 11/3 in the first drop and still no word on merit which is strange
I posted it up thread, someone in zeemee was told merit will come by Feb 5. It was an official email from AO so seems legit.
What were the stats?
