Yes my daughter OOS applied late October for Business and is still awaiting a decision
My OOS daughter received scholarship award for 64K for 4 years, which is 16K/year.
I hope we hear something today!
Wondering if nursing decisions will come out before 2/15. Looks like they said 2/15 last year as well, and they ended up coming close to 2 weeks before that.
My son admitted to business school at Delaware tonight. No indication of any money though. Does anyone know if merit aid is potentially awarded later or do you usually hear at the time of admission?
We got it after admission
How long after admission?
Did you see it’s a separate section of the portal? So you go into View Your Financial Portal and then View Your Merit Offer Letter.
Ours was in a separate letter in the Financial Portal section.
About a month after acceptance.
Any Distinguished Scholar invites yet? My child is OOS and received $15,000 a year, not $16,000, which I think is the most this year?
My OOS student received 13K/year for 4 years or 52K merit and her scholarship was called Non Resident UD Presidential Scholarship; no mention of Distinguished Scholar invite in her acceptance or merit letter
I think those invites go out soon, but am unsure. Usually end of January/early February so I figured I would see if anyone on the thread was invited. Not anticipating an invite because it’s so competitive, but you never know.
It’s very competitive, I would think those who received the highest scholarship amount would have a chance (my daughter received the highest amount, not invited, her friend who was 2nd in their class was).
Is anyone going to the admitted students day is do you think it is better to go to school to the school specific college events for their major?
If applied after the EA date does the rolling admission policy not apply? Do those notifications go out in Mid March?
My son is torn between Delaware and another school so we’re doing Decision Day in February. I’m hoping it helps him make a choice!
daughter admitted for CS, honors, merit…we are going to the admitted day on 4/12…we emailed admissions and asked for any special events for CS or honors and we were told come to an admit day and reps will be there from each.
It looks as though this year they awarded merit primarily using GPA and not taking test scores into account. I don’t know how that will impact DiScho invites this year, because in the past scores mattered. Everyone I know who was invited in prior years had a 1550+ or 35+ composite (not super scored) score. They also tended to be either #1 or #2 in their class and NMF.
That’s how it was when my daughter was accepted. Many students have 4.0 or close gpa’s. My daughter gave up trying to get that 35. Her class rank was only 8th because our school weighs honors and AP’s the same, and she took a lot of AP’s (which allowed her to graduate UD in 3 years, so it helped financially.
