FSU OOS, even w/o waiver, is less than my state flagship.

Fingers crossed that this holds true for my daughter.

Also, if you are in the IB program like I am here in Fl it really helps to get that specific diploma bc we get :100: bright future with out needing the SAT required scores but we must pass all our IB exams and get a certain combined point total for the exams, write a 4000 word essay and have 150-200 volunteer hours . We are automatically considered for Florida Academic Scholar award. I already passed my first exam last year and we finished our essays in December. It’s a really rigorous program here - so even though I totally bombed the SAT, I will graduate with the IB diploma.

The only 2 things that will hurt me is the SAT(bc I totally tanked them bc i freeze or shutdown on them) and working. ( I’m in a year round sport and we volunteer and I’m in our Theater program). Not a lot of time to get a part time job and to keep up with my Studies

It’s a shame that few FL HS’s offer the IB program. My child would have definitely taken advantage. Instead she took 13 AP’s and the AP Capstone Reseach/Seminar diploma along with 4 DE’s. It does not qualify in place of other criteria for FL bright futures or FL scholars so testing scores still mattered for those. The amount of sacrifice and time management kids have to go through these days is insane. My child also was heavily involved in a sport that took up almost all her evenings and weekends for most of her life, along with all of the school and church EC leaderships. I’m not sure she has slept in 5 years. It doesn’t seem reasonable. And it’s not uncommon, it doesn’t make her a total standout. Life in college will be a huge exhale for many kids who have been forced to be superhuman just to have a chance at a good education

Did the portal always say, “Click here for UFID”. I don’t recall that being on my portal before and it is there this morning. No decision though.

It was always there

Yes, since the day the application downloaded into our system, UFID is under forms

Sometimes on Reddit, people say they got their decision early when they did not just to “stir the pot.” No one has actually gotten their decision.

My daughter was a complete wreck heading to bed last night and to school this morning. UF is her No. 1 pick and she can’t imagine going anywhere else. She has great stats and ECs but she’s pragmatic and knows nothing is guaranteed. I really feel for these kids and am just popping in to give everyone a hug and say Good Luck!

in state? OOS is definitely nerve wracking. I assume in-state is somewhat more predictable given school histories?

Good luck.

If I get summer B, when do I have to get down to campus by? Because I don’t graduate till 6/14.

Last year it started on July 3rd I believe
