University of Florida Class of 2028 Official Thread

By the way, UF admissions and Melissa are holding the line at 6pm EST, but I’ve heard from experienced admisssions counselors that they often release a little earlier- sometime after 5:15pm. So just be ready to check a little prior perhaps.

Thanks for the heads up! It took me two hours to work up the courage to check my FSU portal. I don’t see myself checking UF until 8 lol

Son has forms, checklist, and test score showing which is 34 ACT.

Nice!

Yeah - I think FSU released like 20 minutes early.

I booed when they said it was really going to be 6 this year.. Only30-44 more minutes waiting. Sigh

Does he have housing application and file upload or are those gone?

Housing is gone

I can’t see his portal
Does anyone know if any of these changes happened last year and if they in fact were predictive of a yes or no

Seemed like a pretty mixed bag, it was very hard to tell

based on my reading, it did happen last year but the results were mixed

Idk if the test scores are telling. Mine are still there and I only have a 29. UF is a reach for me

How about housing and upload forms?

Yeah. have no doubt they tell you guys 6pm and that’s it. I guess we’ll see later. I’m sure you know a lot more than I do.

Also, thank you so much for your patience answering questions and partaking us on here. UF means a lot to many people. there’s a lot of anxiety for applicants and their families. And you have been a voice of reason and have been very patient. But we all know if there’s actually a tell you will have to deny it (even if true)

No housing or upload.

how did you determine uf was your reach? three different websites told me different things. parchment (school used to send transcripts and stuff) tells me it’s a safety, collegevine says it’s a target, and appily says it’s a reach. i’m not sure which to believe!!

I call it a reach but honestly can’t say for sure. Like you, different websites said different things. CollegeBoard claims it a target. Personally, I divided up my college list into safety/targets/reaches by looking at prior year stats. My ACT is a little below the average of last year, so I just labelled it a reach, but I don’t really know what the method for it is. :woman_shrugging:
