So funny! My daughter was also deferred from Duke (though she withdrew her Duke application after attending UNC’s accepted students’ day) and was waitlisted at UVA. UNC and UVA are both awesome schools and similar to each other in a lot of ways. She just registered us for the 4/2 honors day. Hopefully, that gives her some clarity. She’s also on the grandparent waiver waitlist, with a 10/24 or so application. We’re in NY, though she didnt apply to schools up here. How about you?
Same here. Scholarship offer recv’d today. UF is so awesome! We truly appreciate it! Definitely tipping the scale more now!

Daughter got scholarship offer today also! Not a huge amount, but she’s super pumped, as UF is the highest ranked school she’s been accepted to, and has the lowest tuition by far of the schools she’s interested in. She was almost all set to decide between two other schools, but we may fly out and visit this Spring- OOS Nevada.

We are thinking combing the admitted student day with a spring break at Disney if one of the days fall into our spring break. 
Maybe we will run into some of y’all.

That’s what I thought - so I was surprised. But maybe you are getting the first gen scholarship - which might come out at another time.

Thanks! Distinguished Scholar Waiver. It’s only 4K/year, but every bit helps, since we are OOS and weren’t expecting anything. It came via email and portal.
