Admitted OOS. is honors or merit listed in the admissions letter for anyone?

Honors would be in the letter. However, you have another chance to get into honors later if you want, which is what I did. Scholarship comes like a week or two from now if it’s like the year I was admitted (2024).

OK, I’ll be that guy….rejected. 3.7UW GPA, 34 ACT, OOS. Wasn’t top of his list but sort expected deferral.

Uf does not admit by major. She got whichever one she wanted and can switch at anytime when she arrives. Only exception is performing art majors which require audition.

You are admitted to UF and can select any major (so long as there isn’t an audition)

They’ll have great opportunities elsewhere with those stats. It’s awesome they tried.
The UW doesn’t matter there but the Florida weighted does - +.5 for Honors and +1 for AP etc. last year was a 4.5-4.7 25/75 range.

My son was admitted OOS. 4.6, 36 ACT, NMSF, 9 APs, varsity athlete, talented musician. But no indication of honors college so it sounds like he didn’t get into that. Was hoping for honors housing so a bit of a bummer but still very excited about getting in. UF was the first of our 27 college tours and has been one of his favorites since the beginning! Can anyone confirm if scholarships are listed in letter? If so then he didn’t get offered one.

thanks. The issue is that he comes from a private school that:
A) Doesn’t do APs
B) Doesn’t weight GPAs
C) Genuinely doesn’t grade inflate
For schools in the NE and Mid-Atlantic, it’s quite well known which I think helps. The school hasn’t sent anyone to UF in possibly forever (definitely not the last five years) so I think there’s not much history.
Anyway, all part of the process!
