I was just accepted into the Shidler College of Business and was wondering about its reputation, besides the reputation of the school. I know UH is not that good of a college, but i’ve heard Shidler is very good. Can anyone expand on that? Do big companies recruit from Shidler? I am specifically interested in International Business and Marketing.
For international business, UH is better than most people would imagine for 2 reasons. One, its location is able to attract good faculty even though UH does not pay them well enough. Two, its location between America continent and Asia enables it to built competitive advantages in international business. So you are right, UH as a whole is kind of just ok. But its business school is actually quite good. Bonus: you can surf all the time.
