Accepted as RD applicant OOS Aerospace Engineering!! Portal astrology was wrong I supposed since I had the form show up for me yesterday.
Waitlist means nothing. Nobody will wait until end of June.
Deferred to waiting list . Sooo bummed.
As expected kids did not get in . Portal astrology was not useful. Good luck to all.
Both kids just got accepted to Uconn Eng.. at least something to cheer after denial
Wait listed too. Congratulations to those who got in and good luck to all
Same here man. ECE OOS
Per last year trend when did you hear back wait list? Late june is sooo late
It says by late June, which is the latest they’ll pull anyone off the list. Many will hear the first few days after May 1 decision date.
I got waitlisted for my first-major engineering undeclared. Does that mean I was rejected for my second major: systems engineering and design? SED is so much easier to get into from the past years no way I was rejected
Do you know if they still evaluate your application or just admit from waiting list?
Pretty sure it is just chance I saw on their website
Although I’m not sure what “ranked” means but they also say that they are looking at it holistically which may mean they will pick the best candidates
It’s so dependent on who turns down their spots though. You may be the best CS applicant on the WL but if the space opens up for a psych major, you’re out of luck.
Also not to bum people out but I kind of have a thing about false hope. At least for the past couple of years, admits off the waitlist have been extremely low - 56 out of 1881 who accepted a place on the waitlist last year, 166 out of 4080 the year before. It’ll be great if it happens but it’s not something to place your hopes on. Good luck to all of you.
UIUC RD Results Survey 2025:
This form is for tracking decision results, so it’s all centralized for future students. If you could fill this out once you get your decision, that would be very appreciated!
You can see all other people’s individual responses in the links above, along with overall form statistics (such as what percent got accepted).
My question still stands: am I rejected from my second major if I am considered for the waiting list on my first major?
Yes. Sorry.
Yes you are. Sorry. Best to move on to your other choices
chances to be accepted off the waitlist is even lower than deferred right… since now pool contains deferred applicants that are now waitlist and RD people waitlist.
really see myself at uiuc… even started thinking of grad school plans to get in lol
The past couple of years have not been promising in this regard - last year 56 out of the 1881 that had accepted a place on the waitlist, the year before 166 out of 4080. So not impossible but probably very unlikely. Best to focus on somewhere else and treat a waitlist admit as a unicorn. Good luck to all those on the WL.
