When I click view status it has the “not eligible” message, but when I got the admitted students events page and try to signup, it has my name major and school already filled in. Am I admitted/deferred or is the system buggy and I’m just rejected?

Uh it says those deferred will receive a decision on feb 28, this is different to their RD decision date of march 6.

uiuc class of 2029 here.
- uiuc lets in 1500-2000 students total that were deferred during regular decision. impossible to know this percent since they dont make the data public til the 10th schoolday in the fall.
- i was accepted early action to gies, but i know people who were deferred and got in to gies, grainger, and LAS (and im sure other schools). 2/28 seems to be when they’ll release the regular decision stuff for the deferred applicants, which may or may not be different than the normal regular decision.
- its widely known on campus that uiuc does not want to over admit this cycle both because they have done it the past 3 years and because they are knocking down a dorm building after this schoolyear.
overall, dont lose hope
