Just received an email: Your admission decision will be available this Friday, January 26 at 4:00 p.m. Before Friday, make sure you’re able to access your myIllini account. On Friday, you’ll log in to myIllini and click on your application for admission to view your status update.

Huge bonus points to Illinois for communication! A lot of schools won’t announce in advance when they’re going to release, and if they do, they do it on a social media channel. An email to each parent is really nice!

@DadOfJerseyGirl, is EA Wisconsin confirmed for Friday? Also, what’s the Michigan school announcing? Rutgers went out yesterday.
I was so impressed with the email! It was straightforward and communicated the appropriate information. I think it says a lot about the transparency of the university overall and definitely boosted UIUC for me. I especially loved, “Decisions won’t be changed based on phone calls. We also don’t discuss any decisions via email.” In italics for emphasis.

Not officially. I heard this from a local HS counselor who knows people in these admissions offices. She mentioned University of Michigan and Rutgers as well, but Rutgers announced early (yesterday and some today).

EA decisions are coming out tomorrow, so I think you’ll have to wait a little longer for RD’s. I wouldn’t imagine such a quick turnaround on RD’s, after EA’s had to wait so long…
