Hmm that doesn’t look good for my DS then. He got accepted into Purdue OOS, FYE and does see the withdraw button
You guys have no idea how stressed I was clicking that button!
Listen, we will be shocked if she doesn’t get in. But it’s possible she doesn’t get accepted for her first choice of ME and then we have some tough decisions to make.
BUT, anything can happen and college admissions are a crap shoot from year to year. You hear the stories all the time. In state kids getting rejected from UIUC but getting into Northwestern for example (happened two years ago)
I am pulling for all of you and your children. There’s a seat at the table for everyone
Looks like i’ll be out of this misery in about 25 hours….
Thanks Mel…
Thank you, Mel… you’re the greatest…
Portal astrology community will forever be indebted for your critical contribution.
On a more serious note, your kid is 100% getting into UIUC. There’s no chance in hell that UIUC would not take a kid in-state who’s cracked Mich OOS. All the best.
I’m honestly not putting too much stock into this. Don’t lose any sleep over it.
Well looks like I am screwed then. Thought I had a shot but I still have the withdraw button
ok let’s take a poll!
if the withdrawal form says you are not eligible to submit the form, react to this message with the lightbulb emoji
if it appears as normal, react with the mending heart emoji.
We are crying in our beers together
Love this… it was literally like checking my decision to see what Mel will post… lol… almost like a “pre-decision”
So for those who don’t see the withdraw button, what majors did you apply for? Engineering? I am sorry if I missed this earlier
mine has the withdrawl app button after I click it… is that the normal?
You’re a good egg Mel!
I hope it works out the best way for your family.
yep
yup, OOS Engineering. I would be shocked if he gets in. He’s deferred at Wisconsin and Michigan.
Let’s name a star after Mel!!!
Portal astrology and all…
Thank you, she’s still very nervous. My husband and I are both alumni and I have two seniors in Gies set to graduate in May. The pressure is on!
She has a 3.98/4.4 gpa
35 ACT
Marching Band Drum Major
Varsity Lacrosse
Senior Class VP
National Hispanic Recognition
National Small Town/Rural Recognition
Illinois State Scholar
AP Scholar of Distinction
Applied for Mechanical (second hardest after CS)
Civil for second choice (but really wants ME)
Us screws gotta stick together.
Don’t use it yet, tho
For the withdraw thing, do you mean press the big blue “withdraw app” button? Or is that already one step too far? Don’t want to accidentally withdraw lol
ok, based on this extremely scientific poll, and my recollection of you all’s confidence levels, i think it being random, or no form = accept/reject and form = defer seem most likely
