That is really sort of strange. You are right, did they come to this new conclusion the day after they sent out the Honors emails?
My son heard from Lewis Honors last week. He was selected but hasnāt committed to a school yet.

My DS got in and does not have the crazy high stats (still excellent), but his essay was stellar and heās got a very unique and compelling story and some unique accomplishments. Heās interested in business management. I think they are intentionally looking for a well-rounded, diverse group. He hasnāt committed yet, but should know by April.

My S was initially rejected. 35 ACT, 4.0 unweighted GPA, many awards & activities.
He sent an appeal to the honors college email, and then they accepted him. Their email said they decided to let more people in. Iām not sure why he wasnāt initially accepted, but we are thankful he was admitted.
