University of Maryland - College Park Undergraduate Transfer Chance?

<p>Hey Everyone!
I was wondering if anyone had any insight on UMCP’s undergraduate transfer process.
I am a first year undergraduate student at Penn State University. I’m currently in the College of Engineering at Penn State taking 17 credits this semester and will be taking roughly the same next semester.
Recently, I called the Undergraduate Admissions office and I was told that I can apply for the Fall 2015 semester in March of 2014.
If i’m able to satisfy all requirements (Credits, Classes, ETC), I was wondering what kind of GPA I would have to accumulate to be able to be admitted into the University of Maryland - College Park?</p>

<p>Standard answer is a 3.0 cumulative as a minimum.</p>

<p>Make sure you don’t repeat calc II, physics I or gen chem. They are considered gateway courses in the engineering program, meaning if you do poorly in them you won’t be accepted into any engineering program. </p>
