@mdmamma1707 no problem! That’s where mine was hidden!
My daughter found it in her spam folder too
Congrats to you all! No invitation for my DS, but it’s a great honor and you should be thrilled you got it!!
My son was a Spring admit for 2020 and did FC this past Fall. He is also an avid XC/track runner – and worried about how to get engaged. His class schedule ended up not being as restrictive as “advertised” – he was done with class by 5pm - and only had classes on Mon thru Thurs. Being in FC is virtually identical to being a Fall admit freshman. It was a great transition semester – and he still participated in the clubs he thought he’d miss. One semester does NOT make or break a four year experience.
Was he able to do UMD club running? This is one of the things holding my son back. XC/Track is his world.
is it true that not all B/K invites come out at the same time
@CTCape Contact them here, I believe they’d welcome FC runners like your S.

They go to NIRCA competitions for xc/tf. They participate in local invitationals.
@Hippobirdy Thanks for this. He’s been in a funk about spring admittance/FC, so this may give him hope.
Does anyone know if U Maryland needs mid-year grades? I can’t find anything via email or portal regarding this.
@Octagon - Over the past several years, I have never seen anyone report that that had to send mid-year grades. I don’t see anything on their admissions web site stating that mid-year grades are required
Is there any way to appeal an Honors College/Scholars decision?
I really like Maryland but the only way I would consider it is if I was in either program.
Anyone else able to get into the 2020/2021 financial aid portal? Most of the time only 2019/2020 is available, but once in a while the 2020/2021 button is there. I got in on my mobile phone today. Says “no documents have been posted yet” under the To-Do tab (which is where scholarships are posted). Wondering if anyone can see scholarships yet?
@“k_atherine.h” You can self-nominate for Scholars.
@SoofDad Thanks very much for the info.
Did the Benneker/ Key scholarship invitations come out yet ? Has anyone received it yet ? Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks
@mfmtb01 You can internally transfer into CS after one or two semesters. I did that easily. Direct admits have to complete the same courses anyways, so there’s not much of a difference at all.
@ridingthewave Honors students are guaranteed housing for their specific LLP. For you at least, there is no time concern except to submit housing form by May 1st.
Are students in Letters and Sciences eligible for merit scholarships?
I got the Banneker/Key notification today along with a few others at my school. I don’t know if they release all of them at one time though.
