My son did Freshman Connection - He was just like any other student in the fall, his classes started later in the day. They offer every class a first semester student needs to stay on a 4 year track for any major.

Merit is later, maybe march? I’ve heard of students in scholars getting merit, you just won’t qualify for Banneker Key

My son got in. Major: Management and Advising College: Robert H. Smith School of Business. He was also invited to College Park Scholars.

Pearlmas, my son, now a soph was accepted into honors and his two friends were accepted into different programs (carillon and fire). They received more merit; he just got the better dorm.
DS25 accepted Computer Engineering with Honors. In-state, 4.0 UW/ 4.83W; 1550 SAT
