A big caveat is that isn’t by school. I would guess Business/CS etc have lower rates? But that is only a guess.
My kid/household is trying to decide if they want to accept slot on WL or just move on and not have it stuck in back of our heads…
Does anyone know the number of EA applications UMass Amherst got this year, and the accept rate?

…but this year I didn’t see these stats reported when they announced. I only see this in the decision letter which isn’t much to go off:
“We receive more than 50,000 applications for the class entering in Fall 2025”
I think it is the total count received till Jan 15 as regular decisions have closed by then. Yes, the EA number would have given some insights on where the WL candidates stand. No deferral for EA and only will only be looked after May 1. Eventhough we have accepted the WL slot but in all likelihood given that every year it is getting more competitive for Eng/Business, don’t have any hope and are looking seriously at our other acceptances in terms of cost, housing, curriculum etc. My kid won’t be interested anymore in UMAss once he accepts another place.

Did anyone get the email saying they had been selected to apply to the Global Launch (Dublin) or Career Launch (Boston) program?
The email we got was global launch only, in either London or Madrid. It was specific to major. I wonder if everyone got some form of that email bc my kid didn’t express any interest in it at all

Yes - my student got that with “Global Launch in London” or “Career Launch in Boston” options to choose from. Email says limited spots avail but we are not interested in study abroad freshman year.
DS got acceptance 1/17 to CS.
UWGPA 3.87, Submit SAT (with Math 800),
Receive UMass Amherst Global Launch in Paris.
Still trying to figure out the detail about studying abroad.
D25 was accepted on 1/17 OOS and to the Honors College with 18K Dean’s Scholarship. Looking forward to attending the Destination Day on 2/22 and attending the hockey game that night!
