University of Miami class of 2022

@BrKmNk Is the meal plan part of the housing application? I’m still on the roommate selection part. And do we get to pick which residential college to go to or do they pick for us?

I’ve completed all 12 steps and there isn’t a section where you decide the Residential College. [+There’s only 2 real options anyways]. You just mention if you desire a single bedroom or if you require extra support pet etc.

What I’m wondering is when we decide the roomies

@BrKmNk I thought you were doing random roommate selection, which means you get assigned someone.

I got into the HPM program and I’m trying to connect with others who got in–I want to discuss the merits of the program and the possibility of visiting the campus.

@BrKmNk I thought you were doing random roommate selection, which means you get assigned someone.

I chose that option but I think I’ll prefer choosing from the list of profiles…

All 4 freshman towers are the same?

the dorm layouts definitely are…

@BrKmNk Okay, well IDK if you can make changes I’d call them today.

I just got off the phone with the financial aid office and they were BY FAR the nicest people I’ve talked to compared to the other fin aid at other schools! Just makes me more excited to be a 'Cane!!

@tjay2000 I got in too haven’t really found anyone else, is it super selective also i still have lots of questions about the program.

@BrKmNk what do you mean when you say you will choose from the list of profiles? Once you pay the housing deposit is there a questionnaire to fill out for roommate selection, or do they ask questions about your preferences (ie temperature of room, wake and sleep times, etc, and offer types of personalities for you to pick from?

@Mom2NND You can either have a random roommate chosen by the college that matches you up by your preferences such as room temp, bed time, personality, etc. or on the housing app, ppl have written descriptions about themselves as well as filled out a survey and you can find a roommate through that.

I mean some people have messaged me via IG asking to be my roommate already so If it works out for me and him, we can declare each other roommates no? Am I missing something here?

Also does anyone know if the scholarships granted to us are 4 year long [of course as long as we meet the requirements?]] I received a high sum of scholarship and if im not receiving it the following years, I’d be in a whole lot of trouble…

@tjay2000 @redwingz123 I also got into the HPM program and have questions What were your stats?

@BrKmNk It should say in the letter if it’s for all 4 years but I would definitely check that out before you commit

@AcademiaSavvy Thank you for the information. One more question, how does an incoming freshman access the housing app that you mentioned?

Any other FA receiver here that has 4 years listed on their Award Letter??
