Deferred EA and have green dot
Iād prefer it if they released today ā like right now.
@raej3west I think my D had the same thing. She had the āgreen dotā for months when her application was marked ācompleteā. And then a month or so ago (iām not sure when) it disappeared. Not just the dot, but that whole section at bottom of the portal page which was related to the status of the application. So my assumption is thatās where it would appear (or re-appear) when they update the portal.

Guys we were part of last years group. Start portal watching tomorrow to see if the portal updates to āAdmittedā like it did last year. Then Friday will be the day for the formal email and later in the day the money if awarded. And best of luck to you all and know that if you donāt get in, there is a better school for you. It all works out.

I was deferred and received a notification on the Cane Link, Student Center, then Message Centerā¦ Hope to receive better news tomorrow!!!
i was deferred ea too, under the student center main page, the messages on left hand column will have a 1 next to it when the letter comes in and you click on it
does miami fly people out for visits? i want to go but i donāt have the money to fly out there, iām in the northeast

i was deferred EA at miami too, i emailed a LOCI to my AO on monday which she added to my application but if decisions are coming out tomorrow i really hope i wasnāt too lateā¦ ugh oh well it is what it is. i hope they come out tomorrow and itās good news for all of us!
@sagh527 I emailed an LOCI to my AO over prior to Monday, and I never heard back from the AO.

Is it just history that makes everyone think the release is tomorrow? Why hasnāt UM given us a headās up?
@SlimJim005 they never gave us an update for EA also they kept saying theyāll release decisions in two weeks and then randomly sent them out that day. Ughh I really want some good news tomorrow. Also my AO responded about a day after I emailed her saying she added it to my application and that ādecisions will be released no later than April 1ā.
@SlimJim005 Hoping you get some love in the next day or two. I know youāve been turned down at some schools that you liked, and it might feel like the deck is stacked against you, but at schools with such low admit rates and so many over-qualified applicants, itās really more of a roll of the dice at each school than it is a pattern across schools. My own D had to audition for her programs, but if she were competing in the general pool, I think it would feel very random, even with good stats.
IMO there is a rhyme and reason to this madness but no one wants to truly discuss what it is. Anyways, good luck everyone and especially to @SlimJim005
