Hi…was hoping for some assistance. I have two twin boys both accepted…one EA for Fall and the other RD Spring. Not ideal but works given their post HS plans. This is their top choice and both could not be more excited. Our concern is how to engage the admissions office. Both boys have issues that are critical to their confirming admission. There is no Merit or financial aid required. Their concerns center more on gaining some clarification on the possibility of a gap year for one and a housing concern for the other one. Both have reached out to the regional admission rep without any reply. I also have attempted to contact the regional rep and was eventually passed to another admission rep. She took contact info and promised a return call same day…that was 5 days ago. Have also attempted to reach out to the Director of Admissions but the office staff seems more interested in passing us back to the regional. Their school college counselor is also unable to get a response.
Having spent 0000’s of dollars on multiple campus visits it amazes and saddens me how indfferent the admissions office is. You would think they would bend over backwards to help admitted students finalize an acceptance decision. We only 11 days left to make a decision we are not sure what else we can do. Both boys have other options and are frankly dismayed and disappointed that the school is so dismissive of their concerns/questions.
@worriedDad45 Been there, done that. Squeaky wheel gets oiled. Keep trying. Make sure they know that both boys want to commit asap, but can’t until you have some clarification.
I have to say, administratively and bureaucratically, the school seems really problematic.
Son in off waiting list
A little too late…
Tulane ‘2023
Good luck to all
yes i received a phone call, im officially receiving the letter in my portal on Monday
My son, an international student, got a merit scholarship with the letter of admission. But we are still waiting for the financial aid letter. He called them and they told him they won’t give any scholarship for international students anymore. But they didn’t officially email him to tell him that like they did to other international students.that’s why we are still a little bit hopeful.

Taken off waitlist
Did everyone on the waitlist has received an e-mail asking if they are still interested?
I was taken off the waitlist over the phone, but have no idea about money??? when does that come out? merit specifically
@ebersoji I would imagine that if you receive any merit, you will be notified by letter along with the admission letter. There should be an admission notification, plus a merit one. If you only received the admission one, there is no merit.
Would your stats qualify you for merit?
What did you guys say when u of miami called you? Did you say that you would for sure enroll or that you were extremely interested?
