No, I haven’t gotten that email either…
Yeah, neither did I. I applied on February 28th but I only received the confirmation on March 13th… :-/
I received the confirmation on February 26 and I don’t have the email either ;/ weird @isagui
I didn’t get the email either. I applied Jan. 2 with all my documents and my application was only completed March 6th for some reason.
I submitted mine Feb. 26 and got confirmation March 8.
It’s probably random, I wouldn’t worry

Hey guys! Just received an email from my admissions counselor she said decisions will DEFINITELY not be going out this week but we can hear something as early as next Wednesday!
Guys I’ve literally been so stressed and have had such a bad couple of weeks and this UM thing is not helping.
I’m consoling myself with the fact that we’re on week 2 of Mercury in retrogade period and it typically lasts 3 weeks. It’s come down to this!
This is what I got just now from an email:
We anticipate that transfer decision will begin to go out in a week or so. Once the decisions have posted, you will receive an email letting you know to check your Cane Link account.
Regards,
Did you email someone and they responded that or you just received that email from the UM admissions team? @jpnnoons
UM Admissions team will email you that
I would love to be a fly on the wall at the admissions office…
fly on the wall- Miley Cyrus
email admissions with that song, haha
@tatidee123 I emailed my evaluator first.
Okay yeah I did the same and got the same response @jpnnoons
@wheeley18 : from what I have heard, the general consensus is not to take Physics at UM but at another institution. In most places, it seems General Biology/Chemistry are the weed outs, but for some reason at the University of Miami, it seems that Physics is the toughest required pre-req. For Organic, I have heard Falcao is alright – many people say not to take Barbara Colonna though, and her reviews on ratemyprofessors seem to back that up. Organic isn’t easy anywhere though so it will probably be rigorous even with Falcao, but I think people say that if you study a bit every day and keep on top of everything (don’t let it pile up) you should do alright. But then again, I haven’t taken Organic here yet so this is just word of mouth.
I’m not sure if Valentine Saint Hillaire is teaching Organic (I heard from someone he may be(?) in the near future), but as far as General Chemistry goes he is by far the best professor.
@gapyearapplicant Thanks for your advice. I sadly think I will have to take physics at UM if I get accepted because I have already taken gen bio, gen chem, calc I, and calc II, and I’m trying to do biomedical engineering. I was trying to see if I could take it over the summer but with my internships I don’t think I can make it work.
