People here tend to be pretty vocal. If someone got in, we would know. So far only deferrals and denials have been posted. I am hoping your theory is correct given that I haven’t received any info yet (communications page included).</p>
<p>really really hoping… ive also checked twitter by typing in university of miami and umiami and no one has posted about an acceptance besides the stamps email people.

<p>@kosherbacon I have not received any info yet, not even on my communications page either. I live in NY and I have a relative in South Florida who has not heard yet either. </p>
<p>@hippos123 My guidance counselor said bordering target/reach. I got into Fordham EA and the two have pretty similar EA standards, but this whole process is like flipping a coin so I have no clue what is going to happen. </p>

Technically a safety for me. That said I got deferred at a different one, so you never know. To anyone else wondering, I’m not sure it’s location based.</p>
<p>no UGRD means undergrad i’m almost sure of it. i applied EA as well and it has always says that and it says ea on my common app so its all set… and @Kosherbacon i agree i dont think its location based. people from multiple regions all over the country have heard about the deferrals and what not. therefore i don’t think its region based- and if it were completely random someone on this website or twitter would have posted an acceptance tonight</p>
<p>I do not think it is completely random because not one person has gotten an acceptance that I know of and there have been deferrals in ny but not acceptances. </p>
<p>I guess “no news is good news”…a new one in the college application process…good luck to everyone…but keep in mind there are lots of schools a student can be happy at. Don’t fret if a school does not want you…others will.</p>
