Singer decisions are out, check your emails. We’re in.

when do we find out who our roommates are??

~August 15ish, I think.

@spidermom03 I was somewhat surprised by your comment about the heat. It is not hot at all here at this point in the year. However, if your son is having a hard time with our wintertime temps in the 70’s, I can’t imagine what he will think of those oppressively hot days in August, September, and October when the temps are in the low-mid 90’s and the South Florida humidity has him sweating buckets.

Don’t get me wrong. I love the U. I am an alumna- but March heat in South Florida is nothing compared to the mid-April to November temps.

@InvolvedmomFL My son does not care for very warm weather, which is a main reason that he was unsure about Miami from the beginning. We live on the east coast and it is very warm and humid over the summer (we’ve been to FL during August - not terribly different from August where we live). It was quite a shock to the system to go from 5 or 10 degrees when we left home to 80 degrees when we landed in Ft. Lauderdale. In any case, he just isn’t crazy about 70-80 degree temps in the winter, so Miami probably isn’t the place for him. I, however, could probably be quite happy there . . .

Late reporting this but my son applied EA and was accepted.
