per director of ross admission, ross evaluation divides to two group, one group only evaluated non quantitive info (5 essays, extracurricular)- 5 essays:Ross business case, artifact, why umich, community essay, personal statement- each rated from 1-5, 5 highest… the other group evaluates academic GPA, rigor and recommendations — after central officer grants your admission, Ross admission consolidates these evaluation together tp make ross admission decision…

I know the official answer is that it makes no difference, but do you guys think if an applicant indicates Ross preferred admission that it makes it more competitive to get in to LSA vs. just showing various academic interests in LSA that match the applicants profile?

I pulled my ferpa file for Ross and posted all my insights at What I learned from reviewing my Ross admissions file (admitted class of 2027)

Not really, I emailed admission officer-- she said “you might need to cover both Ross and LSA…”. the school counselor said – mainly why Ross…

If the question is does it impress your school AO at Michigan that you applied to Ross vs just LSA. No. But you need to show interest /classes for Ross to be considered. Make sense?

It most likely comes out today.

It’s come out the last Friday of January the last few years. Everyone is expecting it today. I live in state.

I’m pretty sure it is bad luck for everyone in this thread if it doesn’t get to 1000 comments before results.
Also- I heard traditionally when a school wins a championship it actually affects the yield if a very positive way, and I wonder if they are considering that and reducing admissions accordingly…. And hopefully this conjecture and resulting commentary gets us to 1000
