Yes. But I guess it’s always a possibility that they closed the portal down two weeks in advanced instead of one week earlier this time for whatever reason (maybe they need more time or something), though I hope that’s not the case

I don’t think we are ready for this. Do they postpone most EA applicants or do they reject a lot too at this stage?
They postpone the vast majority of students, and only reject a few for EA

We are not expecting to get admitted just because it seems so competitive from what we read for OO S but, my S25 wanted to apply for the fun of it. It has one of the top programs for her. Let’s see what happens it would be quite a distance for us.

Whether it can happen before the formal admission notification in the portal, not sure.
At this time for me it says, Access Denied.
Out of like 65,000 EA applications (estimate only) the majority would have to be to be Postponed. Yes. There are denials also during this first stage. With the programs that you have to Apply directly into you will hear more I would gather. Plus many people don’t post when they are denied. On here this is just small microcosm of the real world. Many higher end stat students it seems.
Most of you will find out in April so buckle up for the long wait regardless of when you applied.

So the theory is things are global. In other words all should be getting this message. Not just one person which would be local. Is this the case?

I’m guessing it’s this Friday simply because their portal might crash having decisions out on the 31st then the rd rush on the 1st. They probably want some sort of buffer at least.

International, 12 APS, 1530 superscore, strong ECs, MechE - I got deferred from Purdue last week. Not looking forward to getting another upset with UMich so soon lol.
