University of Michigan Ann Arbor Early Action Fall 2025

okay - they were no green dates yesterday when I looked. Also, there are dates in March as well. I am pretty sure everyone can see these dates, but, when you click through you will get a message that it is for admitted students only. I am going to data mine to see when the dates appeared last year (how far in advance of decision release).
Edit to add - looks like the dates for tours appeared on January 20th. I updated my other post with the dates of the portal change to show this. I don’t think people saw this tour date page previous years. So,
2024: portal change 1/22/24; 01/26/24 DECISIONS (1/25/24 cube pic on socials); 1/20/24 admitted student tour page tour dates appeared

I wasn’t asked, but if my memory serves, sign up page for admitted students day has no relationship to being admitted or not.

Interesting! All things considered, the portal change/cube pic are the strongest indicators that a decision will come soon.

Do a lot of in-state students get differed, or is it mostly only OOS?

This was definitely the case last year. I know some people tried signing up for admitted student day, but it seemed like the portal change and cube pic were the only things that happened globally in the week leading up to decision release on 1/26/24.

They don’t release that information. But usually instate will have preference and higher accektance rate overall

My daughter is top 10% and has one B+ and one A-, which gives her UW GPA of 3.96 on a 4.0 scale. A 90 is an A- in her school. And I think some of the kids ahead of her also have a B. So in her school, less than 10% have all As. But some of the AP classes are notoriously difficult in her school, so I think that’s why there aren’t more straight As.

To the best of my recollection, you are correct in that being able to see the dates and/or sign up beforehand, or not, was not any indication of admission status.

It shows that on everyone’s side. Try logging in and registering for a tour to see if you can continue or if a message says “This page is only for admitted students.”

Given that it’s currently not allowing non-admitted students to sign-up, so if it does at some point later, will it not be a positive indication?
Well, this could just be a logical fallacy.

I realize that it is not an indicator of admission…

May be the closest my D gets to the real thing.

Was there another link someone shared recently (I can’t locate it) that people were trying to see if they could get through? Other than the tour date?

Was it this that you were thinking of?

Same. Access Denied.

I was trying to tag you but couldn’t remember your user name and needed to get back to work. Thank you for answering.

Same. Can anyone get in??

It is a generic page with no sign in and sign up, therefore no one can access
