DD24 has been accepted to UMich LSA and University of Virginia College of Arts & Sciences. She is interested in pre-med and also healthcare management/economics. Looking for guidance on which school will be better and any particular programs to look into.
I imagine they are both great options - and perhaps your student can dual with public health.
UM has a dual in public health with LSA - perhaps after looking at the curriculum it would be of interest?
At UVA, I cannot find public health or anything like - except in the school of continuing studies.
I might peruse the curriculum below - but also research at UVA or ask the econ department - does anyone have a focus here - for research?
In the end, for pre-med, it can be done anywhere - and UVA and UM are very different - from both size, weather and environment, so where does the student feel most comfortable?
I assume OOS for both…
Congrats on two great options. On a simple web search it seems like UM might fit best but one should always dig deeper than someone else’s two minute search.
Best of luck.

Talk to Michigan and see what the possibilitiea are. I think you will like what you hear. Their Healthcare system and Hospital are world known.
Thank you. Should we reach out to admissions or any other resource?
Thank you.
I would. They are very nice people and want the best for your student. Once accepted it’s more like a family atmosphere. They want your child to succeed.
