@iamstressedlol Don’t stress out too much about this! The majority of people haven’t had updates yet, so it is likely they haven’t completely finished the decisions yet!
Not sure if it is just me but I received an error message saying “system unavailable” when trying to login to the portal…Does anyone have the same problem?
@Dreamer2023 I believe the portal has scheduled hours of operation. This is what they list on the Wolverine Access website:
Monday-Friday, 6am-4am
Saturday, 6am-11pm
Sunday, 7:30am-Monday, 4am
I’ve run into that error message multiple times before when trying to login before 6AM, but your portal should be accessible if you try logging in during the listed times.
when is the next wave?
please help hahahah just need to know
@jojhnjojhn I don’t think any of us know for sure … I think most people are saying next Friday the 29th?
Does anyone know if the deferred students have heard back yet? Or are many denials out yet? I haven’t gotten a response to my deferral yet and I’m wondering if it’s because they’re waiting to send out rejections (I’m clearly not holding out much hope anymore).
@localtin yes deferred students have been accepted and rejected but they’re coming out in waves. Check the previous pages. There are a lot of details about potential release dates and past release dates. Hope this helps.
@coffeeconverter Haha thanks a lot. I never knew that and thought that a rejection was coming
Is it still possible for me to get in at this point. I am losing a lot of hope as more and more time passes. I was deferred (CoE), sent a LOCI but haven’t heard anything from them since December. Is it time to throw in the towel?
@PerlJamLamb My D is in the same place…hopefully there is some action on the portals soon!
@PearlJamLamb same here… OOS CoE and I haven’t heard back… meanwhile many of my friends who applied either got in EA or were deferred and then accepted in the earlier waves. I know grades and scores aren’t everything but my Naviance really made it seem like I had a good shot. Seriously disheartening, especially since UMich is my #1.
Admitted this week
4.35 W/3.91 Umich UW
32 ACT
Instate
@jfghveriuaga Congrats! I was going to ask you, and bump the thread, since you announced that your decision tab has disappeared a couple days ago. But I didn’t want to bum you out in case you didn’t get any news or, worse, bad news.
No “wave” per se this week, but we’ve had a couple acceptances announced. Congrats again.
Oh, LSA?
looking back at last year there were a bunch of portal changes right around march 29 so im going to stop checking until the 28th
@coffeeconverter so you have CoE friends that were deferred and have already heard back from UM?
One of my son’s friends was deferred COE then accepted on 3/1. In state, legacy, and similar stats as my son (but clearly not as much rigor), who is also COE. But my son has not heard yet. I can’t help but think the legacy staus played a role in his admission.
Yes, legacy status does play a role in admissions at UMich. The CDS states that legacy status is “considered,” but not important.
We are oos and my son got in 2 years ago and my wife went to Michigan. He had the GPA and stats. Did legacy help? No idea but hope so… Lol…
Does anyone have information on when the next wave of admission status updates will occur?
