University of Michigan Class of 2023 - Deferred Applicants

If you haven’t received a rejection, it isn’t too late. Just send it in and know you did all you could.

@Collegegreen6 my daughter’s mid year grades aren’t showing on her application either. Hope that doesn’t mean anything unfavorable

@MamaJ0918 when were your grades sent

Interesting to note that just this morning, UC Berkeley has been ensnared into the cheating scandal. Just sayin’ :-??

Well with say “more than 750 families were helped”

Odds are it was far more than the handful of colleges mentioned so far. A lot more…

Not good…

Got the active shooter alert. Hope everyone is okay. Makes me worry about sending my child. I know I know.

There was a women’s and climate change march. There’s some video on IG and there’s a live feed on the police radio link that was sent to me.

Supposedly they were in Mason Hall and now South Quad. This is all unconfirmed.

Seems now they said no immediate threat. Thank God!

So far everything is clear. They continue to clear and check buildings.

@Missss. This can happen anywhere. My sons there. Let’s see how Michigan handled it. My son got an immediate message texted to him for the alert. They get updates. Emails go out to the students. It’s on social media like Twitter . Police notify whose walking outside.

This is not a common occurance at Michigan. It’s a very safe campus, even late at night.

@J123D123 where did you receive information stating that Honors is required for PPE?

I’m still listening to the live audio feed of the police. Nothing so far. All clear.

There is/was a report of girls popping balloons in Mason Hall. I was sent the report from my kid.

@Knowsstuff I’m sure it’s not a common occurrence, it really scares the parents though. Glad all is well. This world is just not safe, anywhere.

@Missss. I am actually glad it happened and of course just a drill it seems. At least the kids all know what to do if it would ever happen for real. Yep, world keeps getting scarier.

Does anybody know how many deferred applicants there are remaining?

No, unless someone works for Michigan in the admission department, we would just be guessing.

@Collegegreen6 our school sent grades 2/12 which is later than many

@MamaJ0918 similarly my grades were February 12th as well I live in state and out semester finish’s around early February anyway however a few snow days pushed that back even more I believe my counselor contacted our AO to make sure everything would still be considered even if not received on time

@ME2023 I was deferred back in Dec for Kines and I’m still waiting. It sucks because it the last decision I’m waiting on before committing to either Michigan (if I get in) or another favorite school of mine.

Let’s just hope Michigan lets us know either way. Even a rejection now is better than one in mid April, in my opinion.
