Sure. S25 is still debating between UIUC and UC Berkeley arguably higher ranked programs in CS, but at the start of the process wanted a more social school with big time sports like Duke or Michigan or USC. Probably likes Ohio St more today, O-HI-O.
But seriously he will be fine.

There is also a chance me thread in the profile that documents the journey from september to march and will be updated with the final decision.

Waitlisted (could not sign up for tour). We are in the same boat in our home. D25 into UC Berkeley and UCSB, but wanted big sports school as well. She is into Wisconsin, so that is an option. Time will tell.

How much more likely is an in-state applicant to get off the waitlist compared to an out-of-state applicant? If you donā€™t have exact data, what would be your best estimate?

We have been told itā€™s more OOS bc of $$$. Last year my kidsā€™ high school in MA sent 7 to Mich - 2 from the WL.

Wondering the exact same thing!! My daughter has a fairly large network of friends who applied for business and very few applied to Ross bc of the portfolio. Idk.

Daughter deferred EA today rejected engineering, but all is well. She is ā€œloving the school that loves her backā€ and is on her way to UW Madison.
Congrats to all who were accepted! Great school, town, spirit!!!
