I feel like they wait list an unrealistic amount of people… All they are doing is giving people hope who still have UMich as their top choice. They could most likely wait list a third or less of the people they have.
Last couple years, they did offer waitlist to around 1/3 of the students that were not admitted. However, only 1/3 of that 1/3 accept that waitlist offer. So the actually wait list had only 3k-4k students on it. If the waitlist rate is the same and the percentage of students accepting waitlist is not too far off, they may accept 5% or more from the waitlist this year.
Anyone out there want to venture a guess as to when a deferred candidate like me will be notified?

UMich just posted on their tumblr that the majority of decisions are out. So frustrated because I still don’t have mine! Please tell me I’m not the only one!
