Got the best deferral letter possible, but I’m kind of hesitant to send in my semester grades as I’ve had a serious senior slump. I got a 32 on my ACT’s, 3.55 GPA unweighted, and a full load of IB’s and honor classes for the last 4 years.

That being said, I probably got somewhere around a 3.3 GPA this semester, which will probably take me down to around a 3.5. The “nice” letter only seems to recommend sending in your scores to help make you “stand out”, but I’m worried about standing out in the wrong way. How necessary is it that I send in this semester? Is it essentially required? If it isn’t necessary but it looks bad, what would look worst, a noticeable decrease in GPA or failure to send more grades?

I got the best deferral letter possible. 29 ACT, 3.681 uw GPA. 5 AP classes this year, Class Officer, Student Senate, NHS, Quiz Bowl (Quizbusters), FIRST Robotics, tutoring. I applied to CoE. I’ve got friends who applied to LSA that were accepted on Friday, at about 10:00 AM.

My AP Classes are:
AP Physics
AP Calculus AB
AP Computer Science A
AP World History
AP English Literature

EDIT: More EC’s: Ultimate Frisbee league, talent show coordination (I run the sound booth)

What email address did you send your “still interested” email to? Just your admissions counselor?? or is there a general undergrad admissions email??
