hey… i was deferred as well and was just wondering would it be harder for an international student to be accepted by U-M if deferred? It was my first choice and its killing me now…

So is there any hope in us hearing back tomorrow?

There’s as much hope as any other Friday between now and Early April.

we’ve gotta be due for one this week. keep your chocolates and flowers, please be mine, acceptance letter!!!

It would be a nice v-day present to get an acceptance by them

I just chatted them and they said they had no information that decisions would be released today.

When did you submit the application? I have heard those applied right around the deadline received an e-mail saying their decision will be out in January instead of before 12/24. Are you one of them or really got deferred? The Regents Merit Scholarship is for the top 525 in state students.

@benh10 they wouldn’t tell you even if they did have information. pretty sure they’re told to be really vague so people don’t get their hopes up

Yea idek why they have them

They have to say that though

so… are some results coming out today?

From last year’s experience, the results came out over a period of time and some were rather late.

Is there any hope that they still may come out today or should we just forget about it?

I just called undergraduate admissions and apparently they have no information about any decisions coming out today.

Should probably forget about it, when they released decisions on the 31st they started going out as early as like 10am. However they could release them late. I personally have lost hope that they’ll come out today. The wait continues…

If it’s not today, then it has to be next Friday right?

well this is depressing

@csrewq It doesn’t have to be next friday, or the friday after. It could be in 4 fridays from now.

It sucks that they do it this way and cant give us a better time slot, but we can find out anytime until mid-april.

Getting the “good” deferral letter would assure a decision earlier?

@csrewq There is no good and bad letter. Statistically it has been proven that there is no difference. Decisions are released randomly.
