I chatted them and they said they may finish releasing them today or tomorrow.

I just chatted with them, and I asked if there was any truth to whether or not results would be released today. They responded with “No there is not”.

Which means that either they’re not releasing, or they may only be releasing a handful.

At this point, has anyone been flat-out rejected, or are all of the decisions Acceptances so far? If you see an email, or a “View Decision” on WA, would you feel some confidence that it will contain good news?

Yes, as of now, and where things stand, if I received an email or wa view decision tab, I would feel confident that it would be positive news. I have not heard of anyone that has gotten a rejection yet.

I live in Michigan, no one from my school heard anything today, but I do know that a couple kids from surroundings schools in the area have gotten acceptances today.

I feel like the consensus for today should be that they did not release a large batch like they did on January 28, but released a couple decisions today. I feel like the large release is still coming soon.

Everything stated is just my own opinion.

I don’t know if anyone’s got the numbers, but, out of the 30,000 who are rumored to have applied EA, how many do you guys suspect know their results yet?

It has to be somewhere between 5,000- 10,000 if you ask me.

30,000 applied EA???

^^^Yeah, that’s what estimates are.

For deferred students, what I think it is, is that for SOME people (not all) seem to have gotten their admission results back when their semester/trimester/quarter ended and sent their grades to michigan, it’s been the case for some people Ive spoken too, but obviously not the case for everyone

Honestly, I wouldnt get too concerned with how they are going out, it’ll just stress you out more! I think their just sending the batches out by which ever ones they have finished reviewing first… seems like a credible explanation. Dont be nervous thinking that they “only send acceptances early” and you havent gotten your decision yet… its safe to say that they just havent gotten up to yours yet lol!!! breathe people!!!

Benh10, will they release more tomorrow?

On a Saturday? I wouldn’t think that to be the case…but what do I know? I only play an applicant on T.V. And I did NOT stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

meh this waiting is killing me…

Yea me too! Some people heard yesterday so maybe they will send more out today! I’m trying to stay optimistic

For a person who applied in december 24th, what are the chances that i will be hearing within the next week?

I already got an acceptance from other universities and i really don’t want to wait and lose the good housing!

No one on here can tell you this. You may hear today, or you may hear April 1

UM housing is a lottery for freshmen, so you will not lose out on housing at UM.

If you are referring to the other schools and housing, that’s a decision you’ll need to discuss with your parents and decide what to do.

you will probs hear back later i THINK cuz i applied oct 30th ish got deferred… then still waiting ;( hope it comes out really soon…

I think this needs to be said. Nobody has any clue about admission decisions. All that is known is that we will hear back by mid April. Frankly I have no clue why we are guessing about when we will hear.

Anyone deferred from College of Engineering hear back yet?

I believe the Ivy Leagues are releasing RD results this month, so once they are out some more spots at UM should open up and maybe we won’t have to wait until April. Hopefully, people who choose another university will be good about letting UM know their decision.

No they factor that into when they decide who gets in or not so it doesn’t make a difference. Its call yield.
