University of Michigan - Deferral Thread

rejected this morning.

i am so devastated, i dont even know how to out my feelings into words

despite my rejection, i want to congratulate all of you who were accepted, it must be an amazing feeling, enjoy the university and good luck to you next year! I am not giving up, so hopefully i’ll be there sophomore year

Waitlisted

waitlisted. They won’t accept people on the waitlisted until after may 1st, right? -_- That’s obnoxious.

@maddie26 what major did you apply for in kinesiology?

Sports Management

samee. haven’t got a decision yet. is kines competitive? how were your stats?

Rejected. Feeling sad. But second choice school has offered $36k in scholarships so that’s a positive. Congrats to all who got in - Go Blue!

Never look back! For the rejected, where ever we land, we will adapt and become productive and loyal students of our colleges and universities!
For me, I am heading South. SEC school…it’s go time!

@JCooch - It’s definitely UM’s loss. Your new user pic simply made my day. I am quite sure you will have a great time at your Southern college.

Has anyone gotten an email yet? I was accepted and found out on WA, but still no email

For anyone wondering if legacy status impacts your decision, it does. My rejection email wasn’t plain and simple, it acknowledged that it’s salt in the wound. “alumni ties with the University” cool

"We have completed a final individualized and comprehensive review of your University of Michigan application and all supporting documents. While you have many impressive qualities, we regret to inform you that we are not able to offer you a place in the College of Engineering for Fall 2014.

We recognize this is disappointing, perhaps particularly so because of your alumni ties with the University."

@Michigan95…I cannot speak for you, but that caveat about being a rejected legacy would not make me feel any better…at all!

Hoping i can get off Boston College’s wait list with a strong connection, or else im off to marist i guess, congrats to all who were accepted, i’ll see ya there sophomore year

I don’t even want to transfer here. It sucks not being there the whole four years. not cool. UCLA baby!!!

Hi everyone! I was accepted two weeks ago but I see more decisions were released today. Congratulations to all my fellow Wolverines! To all who didn’t make it, I feel your pain. While I’m happy to be going, I didn’t get into other top choices. It all works out in the end, no matter how you get there.

Me and another friend from school did not hear back today… As far as we know, we are the only 2 in our school to have not heard back yet… Anyone else? What does this mean?

Just my luck… Got an email at 9:29 PM and got denied lol ■■■■ me

For those waitlisted engineering applicants, the following information about GUARANTEED transfer from U of M Flint campus to Ann Arbor might be of some interest. Good luck to all.
“A partnership between UM-Flint and U-M, Ann Arbor that allows UM-Flint students two choices of engineering transfer programs.”
