@waiting2022 thank you so much itâs comforting to hear that others are going through the same things on this thread when you feel all alone with your friends who are so excited whilst you are still waiting and contemplating a rejection. Your kind words are very reassuring, and I wish the same for both you and your son. Hopefully we will both get in, or at least some of us still left for the long haul will.
@ohlookitsaman ok cool! It makes sense since they were kind of late with the last wave, and I donât think anyone would be bothered with another wave coming the week after the last. Letâs all keep our fingers crossed but as always, I wonât keep my hopes up too much.
@brownsie000 trust me you arenât alone lol.
Also does anyone here have Theresa Cry as his/her regional admissions counselor?
Looking at last years thread, it seems that many more were accepted up until this pointâŠthoughts? Maybe they are holding back on acceptances?
It feels like every college is lagging this year compared to last year
There may be a small delay due to the number of applications, but there is no drastic difference from last year in terms of admission announcements. The still have one big batch in early Feb and one even large batch in early March. Also, there are many sporadic/small batch admissions in the last few weeks.
@billcsho, are you referring to last weekâs wave as the big March wave or will there be another one this month
I pretty sure @billcsho is not referring to last weekâs wave as the big March wave and there is still a big wave to come in the near future
I do not want to say any wrong information so please tell me if I am wrong, but according to last year it seems that the second Friday in March (so tomorrow night) is a large wave of admissions and a few rejections as well.
@amelchd yup sounds right
Last weekâs batch was big. There were also several smaller batches of admissions randomly in the past week. In the past years, there were two main batches of admissions (in Feb and in March), then a large batch of mixed admission/rejection in mid-late March followed by a final round of mostly rejection. However, they have no fixed schedule or rounds of admission release and it may vary from year to year depending on the number of applications. There is no point to speculate whether there will be a big batch this Friday or not as it may come out any day at any time now just like the last few days.
@tripgirl my deferral letter requested that I send my grades and I did. I just got in last saturday at 12am. do not lose hope!
so Iâm just gonna go ahead and assume that I got rejected, woohoo
@wolverineblue2022 wow thank you thatâs good to hear! Congrats on being accepted thatâs so exciting!!! I definitely wonât lose hope, my grades ended up being pretty strong so I feel like thereâs a chance!
Am I the only person who never got a âView Decisionâ tab in the first place? I received an email on the EA Announcement date confirming I was deferred to RD but the portal never showed any update except my Mid-Year report becoming a mandatory part of my application
@RGEJam yeah, they all seem different. my tab showed up when i got my first decision in December and my âView Decisionâ has never disappeared since; some people donât have them anymore and some people never got them. i wouldnât worry about it.
I was deferred EA and they requested my mid year grades so I sent them, but when I click on the âView Credentialsâ tab, it says that my mid year grade report is âwaived.â Does anyone know what that means?
@screwColleges They have started reviewing your application before receiving the mid year grades. It can still go either way in outcome. Do you have any room for improvement in GPA before the new grades?
No, last weekâs batch wasnât big, the Feb one was much bigger. The one tomorrow should be the big March batch.
The nerves are real
