@MoTownBlues
r u in-state? if so, u do have a higher chance than others. don’t lose hope!
@pachacuti092 yes I am in-state. Haven’t seen that may deferred admissions for in-state. Most of the posts indicate only OOS are being admitted.
@MoTownBlues same I’m instate too and none of my instate friends (and me) have heard back yet ):
@MoTownBlues
Same here tho I do know a lot of kids from BH public schools being admitted. 2 ppl from my school got into engineering.
@MoTownBlues remember that weighted GPA is extremely important. A 4.0 in regular classes is different than a 3.7 in AP which is different from IB and Cambridge. So I honestly think that you are a really strong candidate, don’t stress.
@Kova34 Michigan looks at UW GPA.
@MoTownBlues interesting. A rep told me that she looked at course rigor then at GPA. Honestly, I have no idea what they’re looking for at this point.
@MoTownBlues Definitely don’t lose hope…my son was admitted to LSA last week with a 3.7 UW gpa and an SAT in the mid 1400’s from OOS. In his case, Michigan was very holistic.
the selected schools don’t really look at GPA per se, because it is different from high school to high school. Some HS weight on 11th and 12th grade. Others weight 9-12. Some weight honors classes, others only APs. What I do know is that they look at RIGOR!

A couple people who have been deferred I know have gotten in last week at my school in state… I am still left tho and it sucks listening to them talk about a group chat of admitted students here and the Facebook group online but I guess I would be excited too if I were in their shoes
And are people thinking of next Friday the 16th as the next wave?? Just curious
@brownsie000 we are thinking that this Friday the 9th will be the next wave
Lvmykids2 this is why kids are compared to each other at their own schools per se. Some regions do similar things with grades also. This is why you see kids with 3.6 and 30 Act get in. That might be great for that particular school. There is a lot of variance between high schools
Likelihood of a wave Thursday at midnight?
@wannaknow2022 should be a very high chance
@brownsie000 I’ve been watching my son go through the exact same thing with friends getting accepted to various schools and IK it’s really REALLY tough . Wishing you all the best and I have faith everything will work out for you.
Many people are claiming that their “decision tab” disappeared. For me, my “View Decision” tab is no longer there, it just says “View Application Data” & “View Credentials” … What does it mean if your decision tab has disappeared? Does it indicate that you’ll get a decision soon, that you have a high chance of being accepted/deferred, or does it have no correlation? Thanks!!
@lc6591 Are you regular decision applicant or someone who was moved to RD because of EA deferral? If you are RD, I don’t think you will get that link until the decision is ready. If you were EA deferred and the link used to be there and is, now, not there, people have seen correlation between that and getting a decision (almost all acceptances - but that could be because they aren’t sending rejections out much at this point). But, there have been people who have had that link and it went away and has stayed that way for weeks and even months with no decision. A long-winded way of saying that there has been no absolute correlation… but has been a good indicator in most cases of an impending decision
I’m OOS & got deferred & placed into RD. It’s been gone for at least a week, but I haven’t kept track of how long. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see. If there’s no solid correlation, I probs shouldn’t worry about it or look too into it LOL. I’m getting worried that my late decision will indicate a possible rejection. But thanks!
There is no correlation with the disappearing of previous decision link. Not for timing, nor for outcome. It is just an unrelated process when they are going through the RD review process.
Also, don’t look for mid night large batches releases. There will be numerous small batches or sporadic admission at any time of any day. Don’t loose you sleep for any rumor or speculation. Only your admission notice counts.
