By the way, there are a bunch of schools that have early April (not April 1) as their admission release schedule while CMU is scheduled on 4/15.
It’s been our experience this cycle that those schools that didn’t have a set date, emailed us a few weeks prior to give us the release date.

@caveatesq: Yes, I saw that; the exact day for Ivy releases is tweaked from year to year, to accommodate the calendar.
@billcsho since you seem to be a pro at answering qs, do you see any truth in the good vs. bad deferrals and the decisions tabs? And the longer it takes for us to get a response does that mean the more likely the rejection? Thanks.

A girl from my school a few years ago was deferred and waitlisted. She stuck it out, was the valedictorian, and got into Michigan but didn’t find out until May. She’s very happy to be there now. That’s some true patience tbh …

@billcsho regarding your reply to @sophs17’s post, has it been long enough that rest of the decisions most probably will be rejections? or will there be another wave of acceptance before rejections are sent out. It looks like last year there were 3 waves before rejections were sent out. So far we have had 2 waves this year. One on Feb 2nd and the next on March 2nd.
