University of Michigan Deferred Applicants Class of 2022

You HAVE to commit to another college by May 1. If you get off the waitlist at MIch after that you will lose your deposit at the other school however…

yeah i saw it was 10%
with 60,000 applicants

that’s absolutely insane

@blakegrimes Did they tell you it was a 10% acceptance rate? That is way more selective than in previous years. My older DS was accepted off of the waitlist 2 years ago. I know it’s hard, but it does happen.

@CopterMom33 Georgia Tech about 100k less for four years with a better ranked engineering program. And you do not need a parka in January.

Got into engineering out of state
35 ACT, 4.0 gpa uw 4.7 w…
Is it bad I’m kinda bitter about being deferred for 5 months, and I’ve lost some interest in attending?

@blakegrimes where are you seeing the 10% acceptance rate?

Waitlisted in state man this sucks.

Stats: 33 Act
3.56 uw gpa @private school

Son rejected in state LSA

Me too!!! On, Wisconsin!!

@JohnGaltIII I couldn’t agree with you more!

@collegecrazy2017 perfectly understandable. I actually have been waiting since August and being deferred just prolonged my waiting. I understand where you are coming from

Rejected, in state, LSA – Wayne State

ACCEPTED!!
Deferred EA

In-state, White, Male
1580 SAT (780/800)
3.67 UW // 4.3ish W

Son got in COE OOS. 1450 SAT, #1 in class, 4.0 UWGPA. He applied EA and had been deferred.

@holdingouthope @BreakfastClub1 Isn’t 10% relatively good? How many are waitlisted each year? I know it will be tough, but it is Michigan or Ohio for me.

@blakegrimes Awww. trust your dad. I’m a Mom. Take it from me… your parents care about you more than you know. Even if you doubt them and think they are annoying, you are their top priority. You will not understand fully til you have your own kids.
