How many students are accepted as freshmen to the Umich direct nursing program? Are there any plans to increase the enrollment?
Enrollment in the School of Nursing has increased each year, from 630 students total in 2018 to 714 students in 2022, which is the last year that there’s info available. And enrollment continues to increase each year.
Overall yield to the entire university for first-time freshmen is 47% in 2022. In state yield (77%) is much higher than OOS yield (33%) in 2022.
The Nursing school enrolls about 200 +/- freshmen. If you make a huge assumption of a 50% yield, though it’ll vary as to in-state vs OOS, and it’s a highly ranked program, then the School of Nursing admits about 400 +/- freshmen.
