Lack of noise/chatter makes me think decisions aren’t coming this week. Last time, the news leaked mostly from NYC area admissions counselors that decisions were coming….

I can see that and isn’t there usually a change to the portal the Monday before? I had one apply last year and I believe it was released on the second to last Friday so in theory tomorrow but I agree it doesn’t seem like it but who knows??

They do usually lock the portal down ahead of time, but this cycle has been completely different than all the other post-covid cycles so really feels like anything is possible

Yes. This. There is usually some sort of “maintenance “to the portal like that Monday /Tuesday. Some see color changes. Lots of theories but this year seems different. But it’s usually around 3:00 pm Eastern time.

I read somewhere that this year they didn’t do that for the ED decisions or the earlier decisions they released this month?

There seemed to be some noise the Monday of. I don’t have access and just what I read

Is anyone considering Monday since the ED and early EA came out on Mondays? Still time for the maintenance today and tomorrow.

Indulge me. Today is national squirrel day and Michigan has been posting squirrels as well as the cube. Is it today, so that they announce before Ohio???

***oh. It was squirrel appreciation day yesterday. My bad. Ignore me.

Just so you know. Once EA is over with, this or next week. Then EA is over with. You are either accepted, denied, or placed in RD.

In RD, it goes to April. So hold on tight. It will be a long ride.

In the past the theory was that around 50% of the class is selected in EA. This year ED /EA.

In the very long past, there have been early acceptances in RD with small regional waves. This has not happened in year’s but… since there was an early EA wave👋, who knows.

Michigan is a hard get. Also. Be careful for what you wish for. Michigan is also a very hard school but I know you’re all up to the task.

The “withdraw” option under the 3rd drop down menu in my daughter’s portal disappeared from the menu when we checked the afternoon of 12/15/25, leading us to speculate that her ED decision would drop that day, which it did.

UMich announcing the day before the “feels like” temp is going to be -4 with a foot of snow incoming is either a really good or bad idea!

I think today. Both main and admissions is posting about incoming undergrads and financial aid. Last year it was the fourth Friday. Weather is idk, Wisconsin is closed today so if it were that bad, they too would close I guess.
