I’m a current freshman but I applied for early admissions last year. I was deferred and then waitlisted.
Highschool:
GPA Weighted: 4.1, Unwieghted 3.9
SAT: 1300
Took about 7 APs overall, and 3 with transferrable credit (4+)
I never did NHS or anything of the sort or with HS clubs, I mostly worked but my astrophotography and portrait artwork hobbies took my time.
College:
30 Transferrable Credits that include transferrable APs (I just barely hit their recommended amount as a lot of my APs and a few classes I took in the semester weren’t transferrable)
GPA: 3.65
My advisor was Rachel Taylor, I actually emailed her quite a few times throughout out the last 3 months about transferrable credit, requirement clarifications, etc
So ultimately, I just scraped by. I barely had enough credits to count as sophomore standing, I had just 1 rec letter, which wasnt academic, my grades were good, all As and 1 B in both highschool and college as of now, and my essays were pretty strong. I applied before, got waitlisted and submitted my application a bit later with a decision a week later.
I originally wanted to major in Computer Science, I was planning to do it through College of Engineering, I got a little too eager and didn’t want to wait so long, since there are more requirements, and went with applying to LSA.
I think maybe the biggest reason for having a decision so early and quick for me is due to me being in state possibly, but either than that, I have no idea.
But if I was admitted, I see no reason you shouldn’t be either, based on your stats since they seem better than mine lol.
If I was admitted, I see no reason for those with similar and better stats like me to be admitted, but then again, it is college admissions and my credits seem to scrape by and I was admitted.
Based on reading everything in the thread and everyone’s comments and stats including yours, I’m very confident about your status.
Thank you and best of luck to you, no matter where or what you end up doing!
I haven’t gotten anything regarding financial aid, but I did complete the newly required CSS Collegeboard application about 3 days ago, so maybe it needs to still process.
