University of Michigan GRE Analytical; Rec Letters

I am applying to Michigan graduate school. The online application wants a GRE analytical score, on the scale of 200 or greater. So I can’t report my analytical writing score, which is out of 6. The scale of 200, however, was for a section of the test that I believe ETS has removed from the GRE. So what would you do? Did anyone else applied to Michigan and experienced the same problem? I emailed rackadmis at umich.edu about this and await their response.

Also, I am not using the online recommendation letter system, so my recommenders will not be prompted to submit electronically. Instead, my writers sent them to my school’s letter service, which will send a hard copy to the school.

The problem is that the electronic application asks me to register my recommenders. Should I just skip this part, but still include the names/email/title of my recommenders?

Thanks

I think you should be fine not to register those LOR writers. Definitely put them down in the regular application part.

AFAIR, I didn’t enter anything for that x/200 space, but there was another appropriate space for me to enter the x/6 score.

Sullyz0r is right-- right below the “analytical” space is the “writing” space, and that’s the one you want to fill out (I don’t know why they use these specifications, honestly, because they’re just confusing). Also, it’s a drop-down menu in case that helps. Good luck!

Thanks, guys. I found it from your instructions. I feel so silly not to have noticed the drop-down menu.

Good luck with your applications/decisions.
