Congratulations! When did she apply?

Apparently October! Didn’t even tell me about this one. They offered a free application. :woman_shrugging:

My son two years ago got the same initial amount and in March got an additional scholarship.

Have you heard anything? Wondering if there will be waves of acceptances this month?

OOS DD applied end of September to Carlson 1st choice (very competitive stats) still waiting. Admissions told us directly there is no rhyme or reason for some students who applied after to get decisions back already. “it depends on the reviewer sometimes and other things but is not a determinant of application strength” and “some EA applicants won’t hear until end of January”
Stats:
OOS
Test Optional
3.8UW
Dually enrolled and will have Associate’s Degree in May
21 college courses
Many EC’s, volunteer work, paid job, etc.

In state or OOS?

Can I ask what the criteria are for the $15K merit scholarship? Is that based on GPA only? If not, what are the other factors?

Anyone from EA2 got accepted?

Thank you!

Congratulations! Will you please share stats?

Sure.

  • Strong public high school in the midwest
  • 4.0uw; 4 APs - all 5s; taking another 4 this year; SAT: 1560
  • Decent, not spectacular EC’s; most notably speech/debate
  • NM semi-finalist

Yes, in addition to the $15K for OOS, my D23 later received two more scholarships totaling $11K for being a National Merit Finalist, and then later in the summer after tuition rates were set (and increased), another $4K in some random scholarship.

Thank you so much! Is that Carlson?

Thank you for sharing. Is your student admitted to Carlson?

Engineering.
