The website is not very specific about the National Scholarship, other than itās for students in any state, excluding Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Manitoba. But this web page has the general academic scholarship criteria:

Have people gotten merit awards with their acceptances this fall? I think I read that they come a few weeks after the acceptance. My son was accepted 11/18 into the College of Liberal Arts. We are OOS. Thanks!
yes. about 3 weeks later got merit award notification through mail.

S24 applied to CSE at end of September. got accepted about 10 days after. $15k merit scholarship came in mail the day after Thanksgiving. OOS public school. GPA 4.0UW, 4.3W.

I applied to UMN on Nov 30th for EA II; do they ask for the most recent term SRAR for all applicants because it just showed up in my portal today. Thanks
Minnesota is generally rolling admission but I know for Nursing it isnāt.
Just a little FYI for those who are waiting to hear back from Carlsonā¦ my son was admitted todayā¦ he applied very late October. We plan on traveling to check out the campus soonā¦ heās never been to Minnesotaā¦ heās very excited to see it! S24 applied on 10/30 and accepted to Carlson on 11/18. Has yet to receive any notification on scholarship. GPA: 3.98UW/4.54W, 35ACTā¦

Is anyone still waiting on Carlson decision from EA1?
S24 just received acceptance to College letter of arts & sciences for economics, his second choices. 3.5GPA, 1340 SAT from private high school.

Admitted Student Day: We (parents) received an email stating our child should be receiving and email invite to attend an āadmitted student dayā. So far kid hasnāt received anything. They asked another incoming freshman who said they were invited a week ago. Trying to figure out if we missed an email (weāve checked junk/deleted/etc). Any help is appreciated.

Both of us got an email announcing the dates. Iāll ask her if she got one with a signup. Weād already booked our trip for Feb, so I didnāt pay close attention. More soon.
