I would hope so…I don’t think it is a good look when your primary competitor (UVM, which is lower ranked per US News) announces that they are releasing EA before Christmas.

Last year they released some decisions before Christmas, but we will see.

I know it’s hard to wait, but different colleges simply release at different times due to a host of factors. UMass, UMD, and Virginia Tech, for example, release the end of January or (for VT) February. As applications continue to rise, this is not unusual. I wouldn’t let this impact your perception of how good the school is.

My son’s application status changed from awaiting decision to awaiting confirmation. Anyone know what this means? Good or bad sign? How long will it take to change? Thank you.
No idea but hopefully a good sign we may hear soon!

Think it’s rolling admission, most hear in January.
Looking at various university admissions life cycle charts, the Univ of Cincinnati characterization looks correct: “Applications that have a decision that has not yet been verified and released will have a status of Awaiting Confirmation”
Likely, admissions is waiting to hear back from the college/department
Just heard back from my son. His status has also changed to awaiting confirmation.
Since these three portals changed today I’m inclined to think decision imminent, but

The first batch of EA decisions came out last year on December 20th without warning. I’d say we are going to find out today.

I know we are suppose to hear by the end of January but I just randomly went into the portal and saw the status changed to “application status”. Came here to see if others saw a change and it seems so! Wondering if we will be getting some news today?
My sons went from awaiting decision, to awaiting confirmation, to decided, back to application status. Hoping it’s today! Good luck to all!
