Update: One of twins was invited to the honors college this morning.
My daughter was also notified today that she was admitted to honors.
Daughter just got invited to Hamel honors and scholars college this morning too! We thought it would have come with her admit letter (and it did not) so she was feeling pretty bummed about it. Very excited now!
Very cool! Did she receive an email?
My daughter received hers in an email.
Disappointed with whole process. We did the direct admissions which I think is new this year and I think that was a huge failure since we did not get to submit anything on her awards etc and essay and about her school. We did not get notified on honors college and when I emailed them they told us they would notify in December. We mentioned our concern of taking the direct admissions and that we did not get to attach any of her school profile and guidance info. We did get max merit but no honors invite. They didnât even offer to take her common app info.
My daughter did direct admissions as well and has not received an honors invite. I was concerned about this happening. I know last year December admits heard about honors in early January. Hopefully there will be something.
Direct admit? through Niche?
Yes, we figured since it was on our list of schools and they offered it we would take advantage of not having to do an application. Wish we would have just used the common app since it had all our school report and essay and extra curricular along with our additional information prompts.
My daughter was also accepted through Direct Admission with Niche, but did not hear anything about Honors. She was just thankful to be admitted directly into the History/Law 3+3 program and receive merit. She is going to follow up with admissions a bit later this month to ask about Honors, but she also has a few other colleges that she is waiting on for RD.
They actually recalculate a weighted GPA on a 4.0 scale for core classes only. Not sure of the exact formula.
Iâm sorry to hear that. Please let us know if anything changes.
Another waive of decisions was released today. Check your portals!
I suspect, but donât know, it is similar to UMassâs calculator based on merit my kid gotâŠ
Oh it may be similar. UNH will only consider core courses (English, Math, Science, Social Science, Foreign Language) and electives falling in one of the above categories.
Just saw on portal it no longer says âawaiting decisionâ now it says âdecidedâ
Any idea how long until we know what that decision is??
now they are asking for enrollment deposit so I think its safe to say we are in!!
There should be a link to a letter or message.
Yes it showed up about an hour later! Accepted officially:)
Yay! Congrats
