The document center holds the letters for admissions, GAP offers and merit
Thank you! Do you think it’s a positive sign?
Just login to my.pitt.edu and search for the Document Center
It’s a sign that some decision has been made and documented
D24 just found out she was waitlisted for the school of nursing. Not the news she was hoping for, as Pitt was her first choice. Anyone have any idea if anyoen gets off the waitlist at Pitt?
According to the Common Data Set for Pitt, for admission fall of 2022, 6,905 were offered the waitlist, 3,791 accepted a waitlist spot, and 1,666 were ultimately offered admission. Not broken down by school, but in general it does look like there’s decent movement on Pitt’s waitlist.
I haven’t seen Pitt release waitlist info for nursing. The BSN program is relatively small so I would help her move on, but of course still hope for the best. Direct admit nursing is just so competitive because the schools tend to be small (hard to get profs, constraints on clinical locations, etc). Hopefully she applied to some programs with higher admit rates. Good luck to her.
I got offered a spot in the school of nursing this fall, and one of my friends did as well, but I know it isn’t her first choice (she’s waiting on another school rn). She’s planning on declining if she gets into this other school - and she probably will. Another person I know got into their branch campus for nursing and is going to a different school. Not sure if Pitt tells you where you are on the list, but there’s always a shot!
Thanks for that info. That’s actually more promising than expected (I’ve seen lots of schools only let a dozen o so in off the waitlist).
Yes, she is in at a couple direct admit schools, so will encourage her to pursue one of those.
Thanks @kens024 - congrats on your acceptance to Pitt nursing!
best of luck to your D24
Pitt nursing numbers are very different than the school’s in general. The aggregate numbers are not necessarily predictive of nursing.
Doubtful, it is getting late in the game for merit as most awards go out in the fall. Plus with so many applicants they really don’t have time to re-review candidates.
D24 applied to Pitt for BSN (nursing) on 10/30/2023 and today noticed the Accept/Decline buttons have ( finally) appeared. No emails have yet been received but we assume this means she was accepted. We are OOS, so this is not a very affordable option, but she ready loved the campus and city during our visit.
U pitt portal says application complete from yesterday but no accept decline buttons have appeared. what does that mean?
@pearl0607 That happened to my daughter’s portal and she was waitlisted. Hopefully you have better luck.
Oh . thank you. wait listing is a nuisance Good luck to you too.
I would go to the document center, there should be something posted by tonight at the latest then, I believe.
Nothing there yet. the status changed to complete only yesterday from pending.
Thank you. will be patient:)
