@33785 and @Kdal - Are you both OOS? I believe some OOS students got the “pilot” approach - for honors. We are In-state. Wondering if other or any in-state got honors. Thanks

We’re OOS

My OOS C25’s portal is working just fine, and previously received the pilot invite

I hope this means that PA residents are getting their honors invites ASAP!

Yes, my son applied in October and is pending. We did inquire with the university, but just told to include continued interest. I suspect the seats in the major are full and would be considered further and hear maybe if someone dropped, or get a denial once some unknown date to close acceptances passes.

Honors College email and letter posted into portal.

congrats! OOS or in state?

Son also received the acceptance to the Honor College tonight. He received 10k/year merit back in December. Still pricy for OOS.

Unfortunately, I have heard that Pitt Honors comes with no merit… unlike PSU where Honors college admission comes with 5K scholarship.

it’s funny…my daughter didn’t do Schreyer because it was such a heavy essay load and she did a few stretch schools that also had a basket of extra writing

True. 2 long essays. 4-5 short ones… too much to ask from the kids… lot of eye-rolling and huffing..

My daughter didn’t bother applying to Schreyer’s either. She was fried by that point.
